Maurizio Frasani

Maurizio Frasani studied computer engineering at the Politecnico di Milano School of Management. From 1978 to 1984 he worked as a technician in a precast plant in Italy, where he met the precast technology. Frasani focuses professional efforts on research and development on the automation of work processes / production cycles. He began the development of a CAD modeler to whom he entrusted the name of the Lego game, this for the effectiveness in modeling of precast projects. The intuition of making the design system more productive and controlled with the BIM LegoCad allowed him to open up new market horizons. After being a free-lance consultant for precasters from 1985 to 1989, the precursor of the BIM logic founded CSG Information Technology in 1990, becoming a consultant for important Italian precast companies. Since 1995 it has also extended its activities to other western European markets, including Spain. In 2000, Frasani was co-founder of CSG Engineering. In 2004 he extended his activity to the Eastern European market, becoming responsible for the design and introduction of new buildings ready to be inhabited. Since 2010 the Frasani company has also established itself on the South American market, Middle East and North America.

Member of ASSOBETON and CTE, he has collaborated in numerous technical publications. He has promoted and organized seminars, offered technical speeches on the forty-year experience gained on precast. He has traveled all over the world for work without ever setting limits. Open mind and lively, always busy with quick pace from the alpine, the closest collaborators in the office like to call him a tireless workaholic of the work. The father Gino, a farmer in the family business (the Colombaia) has transmitted the values of tenacity and of infirmity in the workplace. In his free time Frasani is dedicated to his great passions in the quiet estate of Castelletto di Vernasca in the upper Valdarda: crops, good food, pets and the little nephew Edoardo.
